Overview of the 5GMED Use Case on Road Infrastructure Digitalisation

This use case focuses on the intelligent management of connected and automated vehicle mobility. 

The road infrastructure will be digitised for intelligent traffic management of the connected and automated vehicles. Hence, this use case is aimed at bringing road infrastructure closer to support levels for automated driving. Uninterrupted, safe, and efficient mobility will be ensured for mixed conventional and automated traffic.

The Infrastructure will be able to guide groups of vehicles for traffic optimisation.

Location: Cross-border along the Figueres Perpignan between France and Spain
